Nathan Kiely is passionate about all things human performance, particularly in transferring and maximising strength and power developed in the gym, into speed and agility on the playing field. He is a multidisciplinary coach who incorporates his knowledge of sport science, strength and conditioning and personal training to provide his speed and agility clients with a well rounded and evidence-based program for success.
Nathan has developed his skills through various athletic performance and strength and conditioning internships. These include the Australian Rugby Sevens program, who won gold (women) and placed eighth place (men) at the 2016 Rio Olympic games, the Newtown Jets rugby league club who feed and act as reserve grade for 2016 NRL premiers the Cronulla Sharks, GPS rugby powerhouse Newington College and the New South Wales Institute of Sport track and field strength and conditioning program. These various experiences give Nathan an understanding of the demands of high level performance, whether that be for elite level male and female Olympians, semi-professionals, developing student-athletes or national and international track champions.
Nathan’s motto is ‘Train Smart AND Hard’. He believes that hard work is the foundation of any successful speed or agility program. However, the small ‘one-percenters’ that separate the best from the rest are where an educated and experienced coach can make or break an athlete, regardless of the level at which they compete.
